Writing Workshop in association with Queen’s University Belfast 17 November 2020 – Posted in: News

Cló Iar-Chonnacht is holding an online writing workshop for Irish-language authors in association with Queen’s university Belfast. This workshop will be held online via Zoom on Saturday, 5 December starting at 10 a.m.

This workshop will be geared towards Irish-language writers at every stage of their writing career, both established and new writers and all genres of writing.
Writers who would like to take part in the workshop are invited to submit a sample of their work: a short story, flash fiction, five or six poems or a short excerpt from a novel (including novels for young people) to moccic22@outlook.com before 26 November, 2020.

The most suitable pieces will be selected and these items will be discussed during the workshop. Each writer’s work will be sent to each participant in the workshop so that everyone can read each others writing before the workshop and be able to take part in the discussion. The goal is for everyone to learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses in the writing piece being worked on.
There will be 10 places on the workshop. There is no charge for the workshop. The workshop will be held in Irish.
