Caoilfhionn Nic Pháidín

Born in England and raised in Dublin, Caoilfhionn graduated from UCD and has a lifelong engagement with Irish-language publishing. She worked as an editor in An Gúm; edited Comhar 1979–84; edited Irish-language columns for The Irish Times 1984–87; and was research editor in lexicography in the Royal Irish Academy until 1999.

She is a Modern-Irish scholar whose interests lie in the history and sociology of literature, as well as the development of critical methods that are appropriate to the forms and themes of literature in minority languages. She has particular expertise in applying sociological, biographical and historical perspectives to the literary analysis of genres and to certain literary texts in particular.

Gabrielle Ní Mheachair

Gabrielle Ní Mheachair was born in 1961 in Ivy Hall, Templemore, Co. Tipperary. She received her degree from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. In 2010 she received her master’s degree in Special Education in Fontbonne University, Saint Louis, Missouri to qualify as a reading specialist.
