Mícheál Ó Ruairc 5 March 2017

Mícheál Ó Ruairc is a poet, short story writer and novelist from Leitriúch in Kerry. He was born on the peninsula known locally as Cloghane-Brandon. He completed his B.A. degree in the National University of Ireland, Cork, and in 1991 he was awarded an M.A. in Modern Irish from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

Maolmhaodhóg Ó Ruairc

Maolmhaodhóg Ó Ruairc was born in Rosslea, Co. Fermanagh in 1941. He went to primary school in St. Tiernan’s and got his secondary education in St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh. He holds a BA in French and Irish from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and received a Masters in French from the same University after a year’s postgraduate study in Université de Grenoble.

Con Ó Ruairc

Con Ó Ruairc was born in Dublin and educated at Coláiste Mhuire, Dublin; University College, Dublin (B.Agr.Sc.); and Cornell University, New York (Ph.D.). He spent 40 years working for Teagasc as a botanist, as an editor of scientific publications and as a research planner.

Brian Ó Raghallaigh

Dr Brian Ó Raghallaigh is a lecturer in Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge, Dublin City University and is currently responsible for the technical management and development of the ainm.ie, dúchas.ie, gaois.ie, logainm.ie and téarma.ie projects. He previously worked on the Irish synthesis project abair.ie at Trinity College Dublin.

Liam Ó Muirthile

Liam Ó Muirthile was born in Cork city in 1950, the first of nine children. He attended Clochar na Toirbhirte, Scoil Chríost Rí and Coláiste Chríost Rí. He has spent time in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht since he was in secondary school. Liam then went to UCC on a City Corporation scholarship. He spent a year in France during this time and went on to get a BA in French and Irish.
