Alan Titley 5 March 2017

Alan Titley was born in 1947 in Cork City. He attended Coláiste Chríost Rí, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin, and University College Dublin. He studied Irish, Philosophy and English. He was a lecturer of Education and History in Mount Carmel College of Education in Nigeria from 1967 to 1969, during which time he travelled widely in Africa.

Dermot Somers

For the past two score years Dermot Somers has been travelling and hiking all over the world, from the Alps to the Andes, to the Himalayas. He was a member of mountain expeditions to Changste, Tibet in 1987; to Manaslu, Nepal in 1991; and to Mount Everest, Tibet in 1993.

Gabriel Rosenstock

Gabriel Rosenstock was born in Kilfinane, Co. Limerick in 1949. His father was a doctor and writer from Schleswig-Holstein; his mother a nurse from Co. Galway. Gabriel was the third of six children and the first born in Ireland. He attended the National University of Ireland, Cork and became one of the core INNTI poets.

Siobhán Parkinson

Siobhán Parkinson was born in Dublin and raised in Loughrea, Galway; her mother’s hometown. She also lived in Letterkenny, Donegal for a number of years, where her grandmother was from , and attended secondary school here. She then came to Dublin to study English literature and German at Trinity College, Dublin in the 1970s.

Lorcán S. Ó Treasaigh

Lorcán S. Ó Treasaigh was born in Marino, Dublin in 1957. He attended Coláiste Eoin in Stillorgan and later St Patrick’s College, Maynooth (BA in Irish and Sociology). He completed his H.Dip in Education in Trinity College, Dublin. He considers Seosamh Mac Grianna and Seán Ó Riordáin as the writers who most influenced him.
