Mícheál Ua Ciarmhaic (1906—2005) was a fisherman, farmer, writer and painter from Baile an Sceilg in Iveragh, Co. Kerry. Between 1984 and 2000 he published eight Irish language books that provide a fascinating insight into the ways of life and culture of specific areas and communities. This book consists of prose and poetry selected from Uí Chiarmhaic’s original books.
