Caoimhín agus na Lonta Dubha
When young Caoimhín is sent to live in a monastery by his poverty stricken parents, not only does he long to return home but he also misses outdoor life.
Celebrated English author David Almond’s beautiful retelling of the legend of Saint Kevin and the blackbird, illustrated by Irish master P.J. lynch, is brought home to the language in which it first appeared over nine hundred years ago in Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin’s lyrical translation.
