Orna Ní Choileáin guest-blog on writing.ie 2 March 2017 – Posted in: Authors, Writing

Orna Ní Choileáin has recently put together a guest-blog for writing.ie, in which she speaks about the writing process and the difficulties involved in writing for young readers.

Writing inspiration
I realised that there was a lack of books in the genre of fantasy in Irish, and I wanted to fill that gap. Having decided I would be writing a vampire story,  I wanted it to be different from what was already available. There were many books at the time that were set solely in the classroom; young people spend enough time at school, I didn’t think my stories should revolve entirely around the school setting!

You can read all of Orna’s guest blog on writing.ie at the link: https://www.writing.ie/guest-blogs/ag-scriobh-do-dhaoine-oga-deacrachtai-agus-buaiceanna-na-ceirde/

Greim na vaimpíre is the fourth and final book in Orna’s vampire series, and is available now to buy. ISBN 9781907494673, priced €8.00.
