In 2021, Sarah-Jane Scaife directed Beckett’s Happy Days on the Aran Islands. The play was translated into Irish by Micheál Ó Conghaile and titled Laethanta Sona. Meet them both in conversation with Dr. Seán Kennedy, an acclaimed scholar of Beckett’s work, for the 2022 D’Arcy McGee Lecture on Thursday, 3 March at 10PM GMT.

They will talk about the work, the text, and the performance, which was a landmark event in Irish theatre history.
