A writing workshop on the theme of the lore of places from Cló Iar-Chonnacht in collaboration with Cúirt.

The CÚIRT International Literature Festival in collaboration with Cló Iar-Chonnacht and with the support of Ealaín na Gaeltachta, will run a writing workshop via Zoom for Irish-language writers on Monday July 31, 2023, from 19.00-22.00 .

The theme of the workshop will be ‘New writing based on the lore of places’. Áine Uí Foghlú, Ógie Ó Céilleachair, and Micheál Ó Conghaile will facilitate the workshop.

Irish language writers who would like to take part in the workshop are invited to send a sample of their writing (one or two poems or a piece of prose – fiction or essay – not exceeding five pages) related to an aspect of the lore of places to moccic22@outlook.com on or before Monday 24 July 2023 .

  • There will be space for six people in the workshop.
  • Writers who have already published works and writers who are just starting out will all be welcome.
  • There is no charge to attend this workshop.

The most suitable works will be selected and discussed and evaluated at the workshop.
