CRUINNSCRÍOBH: Exercises now available online 21 August 2017 – Posted in: News

Did you know the exercises from Cruinnscríobh na Gaeilge are available on our new website? This is a fantastic facility for anyone looking to improve their Irish, particularly as the new academic year rolls around. The exercises coincide with the chapters in the printed book by Ciarán Mac Murchaidh.

If you are unsure of where to start, the ‘Ríomhdhiagnós tosaigh’ will give you a good idea of where your weaknesses are. It is the first exercise on the system and it looks like this:

When you have completed the ‘Ríomhdhiagnós tosaigh’ click on ‘Seiceáil’. You will then receive a score based on the answers given. This will be broken down into the various sections of the exercises (e.g. An Chopail, Briathra etc.) in order to show you which areas need particular attention.

When you have finished the ‘Ríomhdhiagnós tosaigh’ all you need to do is pick an exercise and off you go! There are exercises for every unit in the book and learners can choose to study any of them. The ‘Ríomhdhiagnóis tosaigh’ can be revisited at any point and is a great tool to help you get the most out of the exercises.

The exercises can be completed on a tablet or a smart phone and the format will be the same. Every question can be shown at the same time, or you can go through them one by one.

When you have completed an exercise you will get a score, and you can try the questions again if you didn’t manage to get them right on the first attempt.
