Cló Iar-Chonnacht will be running an online writing workshop for Irish-language authors living internationally on Saturday, 29 October, 2022.

Workshop directors: Micheál Ó Conghaile and Micheál Ó Ruairc

Irish-language writers living internationally (both prose and poetry) who would like to take part in the workshop are invited to contact Micheál Ó Conghaile at moccic22@outlook.com.

This workshop will be for Irish-language writers living outside of Ireland and who may not have a chance to meet other writers who are writing in Irish locally to discuss their work. Published writers and writers who may not have published yet are both welcome to join the workshop. There will be 8 places on the workshop.

Writers who would like to take part are invited to send a sample of their work, a short story, poems (up to 3 poems), excerpt from a novel or prose ( 5 – 10 pages) or flash fiction to Micheál Ó Conghaile at moccic22@outlook.com BEFORE 21 October, 2022.

The most suitable works will be selected and there will be an opportunity to discuss the work during the workshop. Participants’ submissions will be sent to each participant in order to read them ahead of the workshop and give feedback. Through this methodology all of the participants will be able to take an active part in the workshop and to learn from each others strengths.

The workshop is free of charge. Spaces are limited.
